Trainings for Old City Rehabilitation and Development FundOn September 19 the training on Effective Communication and Negotiations with Citizens took start at Partners-Georgia. Trainings led by Tea Gvelesiani will continue until September 28. Participants are Public Relation specialists working with the Old City Rehabilitation and Development Fund (OCRD).

Corporate Team Building for Bank RepublicOn 14th-16th September, 2007, Partners-Georgia's trainer-consultants Tea Gvelesiani and Iki Vetsko have visited Bakuriani, where they facilitated the corporate team building event for senior and middle management of the Bank Republic. Corporate team building program was designed and facilitated in partnership with Consulting Group "GEPRA"'s consultants Kakha Magradze and Marika Sarjveladze.

Customer Service Excellence for the Basis Bank PersonnelUnder the contract made with Basis Bank, Partners-Georgia is launching the series of Effective Customer Relations and Effective Sales training for the bank personnel. During the series of trainings that will be delivered at Partners-Georgia office and last until the end of October, Partners-Georgia will train more than 100 people working in Basis Bank on various positions. Training program is lead by Partners-Georgia's chief trainer Lela Giorgobiani.

Advocacy and Coalition Building Training for Samtskhe - Javakheti NGOsIn frames of contract with Samtskhe-Javakheti Regional Development Program that is funded and implemented by the UNDP, Partners-Georgia trainers Tina Asatiani, Tea Bulia, Lika Jafarli and Natia Gopodze conducted the NGO Advocacy and Coalition Building skills training in Akhaltsikhe and Akhalkalaki. The main objective of trainings and follow-up workshops that are planned for August - September, is to encourage the cooperation between the NGOs working in the region and promote implementation of coalition projects that aim to increase the role of civil society in local decision making.

Partners-Georgia cooperates in frames of NATO funded Silk Road ProjectOn July 8 - 17, 2007 Tea Gvelesiani and Vazha Kvernadze have visited Kiryat Shmona in Israel, where they attended the seminar and training for trainers on “New Methods and Practice of the First Response to Individual and Community Trauma as a Result of Terrorism and Disaster Events". This seminar, which hosted 30 representatives from 15 Silk Road countries, was organized as part of the Advanced Study Institutes (ASI) Program funded by NATO, Science for Peace.

Partners-Georgia will cooperate in British Council's new initiativeYouth from six countries - Georgia, England, Sweden, Netherlands, Azerbaijan and Armenia - will participate in the Equal Opportunities workshop that will be organized in Norfolk (England), in the period from 7th to 18th of August, 2007, in frames of the British Council funded initiative “East and West All as One Equal". Each country will be represented by 12 young people; Georgian group will be led by Natia Gopodze, young trainer of Partners-Georgia, who already attended the steering committee meeting arranged in Norwich (England), on July 13-16, 2007.

Effective Communication training for Kakheti regionOn July 16-18, Partners-Georgia trainers Tina Asatiani and Tea Bulia will conduct three days Effective Communication training for international and NGO relations' coordinators of Kakheti region municipalities. Apart from them, training will be attended by local NGOs and Telavi Univesity lecturers. Training is conducted in frames of the OSGF-funded project, which is implemented by the Civil Society Institute with partnership of the Center for Strategic Research and Development of Georgia and Partners-Georgia.

TOT for Georgian ScoutsOn July 11-14, Partners-Georgia's office is hosting 15 representatives of Georgian Scouts who are participating in Conflict Management TOT delivered by Tina Asatiani and Tea Bulia. With this training, Partners-Georgia is concluding the first-year activities within the Community Inverstment Program (CIP-2) funded by British Petroleum and its partners and implemented by "Care International in Caucasus" in cooperation with local organizations.

Marneuli self-government is going through the diversity management training In the period of June 27 - 29, 2007, Partners-Georgia trainers Tea Gvelesiani and Tea Bulia are conducting the Diversity Management training for representatives of Marneuli self-government. National Intergation and Tolerance program in Georgia (NITG) is the USAID funded initiative, which is implemented by UNA - Georgia and its local partners. Role of Partners-Georgia is to organize, design and deliver various training programs planned within the NITG.

Conflict Management training for Parliament representativesOn June 21 - 25, 2007, within the contract from “Transparency International - Georgia", Partners-Georgia trainers Lela Giorgobiani and Tea Gvelesiani have delivered conflict management trainings for representatives of committees and factions of Georgian Parliament, as well as for its Public Relations and Information Department staff. Trainings were organized in frames of two ongoing projects of “Transparency International - Georgia" that are financially supported by the Swiss Development and Cooperation Agency and British Embassy in Tbilisi.

Training for British-American Tobacco Sales ManagersIn the period from June 25th to June 30th, within the frames of the contract with “British-American Tobacco“ (BAT), Partners-Georgia trainers Vazha Kvernadze and Lela Giorgobiani will conduct two consequent trainings on the topic of ‘Effective Negotiations' for BAT sales managers of various levels. First training will be attended also by sales managers from Armenian and Azerbaijanian branches of the company.

Awards for the Great Contribution to the Development of the Sivil Society in GeorgiaIn frames of the second SCO Forum, in May 4, the awarding ceremony of those persons will be held, who are acknowledged for their Great Contribution to the Development of the Sivil Society in Georgia. In 2005 this award was given to Mr. Ghia Nodia, Mr. David Usuphashvili, and Mr. Zurab Zhvania (after death). Director of Partners-Georgia Sofiko Shubladze is a member of the awarding jury together with other 6 persons.

Partenrs-Georgia delivers trainings in frames of the Community Investment Program (CIP-2)In March-June, 2007, within the frames of the Community Investment Program (CIP-2) by Care International in Caucasus, Partners-Georgia will conduct a training cycle on Conflict analysis. Trainings will be delivered for CBO's and Boards of Trustees of schools in eastern side of Georgia. Representatives of CBO's will be introduced to one of the instruments of conflict analysis called "Do No Harm", which is going to be used for analyzing the forthcoming influence of a planned project in community.

Second edition of the handbook on Basics of Conflict Management for Youth is publishedSecond edition of the Handbook on Basics of Conflict Management for Youth is published by the financial support of the Austrian Development Agency, British Petroleum, and Care-Austria. In difference from the first edition in 2002, current handbook also includes paintings and short novels developed on conflict management topics by students of public schools of Borjomi, Akhaltsikhe, Adigeni and Tsalka.

Recommendations for better customer service by Partners-Georgia Partners-Georgia published a Georgian language guide/manual on Effective Customer Relations, developed by Lela Giorgobiani, Vazha Kvernadze, Milena Mitagvaria and Sofiko Shubladze. The title of the publication is: How to Turn a Buyer into the Loyal Customer - Recommendations for Effective Customer Service.
