Capacity Building for Kvemo Kartli authorities and civil servantsPartners-Georgia has finalized the provision of training sessions to civil servants and local authorities of municipalities of Kvemo Kartli region and Regional Office of the Governor under the contract with UNDP. The aim of the training was to enhance target group's capacity in terms of Effective Communication and Leadership covering the following modules: (a) Effective communication, presentation and meeting facilitation; (b) Conflict management: negotiation and dispute mediation; (c) Leadership, team work and decision making skills.

Fourth phase of the Small Grants to Schools Program completedPartners-Georgia has completed the series of Proposal Writing workshops and trainings in Conflict Management and Team Work delivered to Boards of Trustees in 12 schools of Zestaphoni, Terjola and Baghdati districts of Georgia. Program aimed to enhance team spirit and cooperation both within the BoTs and between the BoTs and other stakeholders (school teachers, parents and students). Training program was realized under the contract with British Petroleum.

Service delivery to Elit Electronics continuedUnder the new contract with Elit Electronics Vazha Kvernadze, senior trainer of Partners-Georgia will conduct the work management, coaching and negotiation skills trainings for the middle management of the company. Trainings launched in April 2008 will last through the end of summer 2008

Today the call for applications for HR Management Courses started, which will be delivered by 7 professional trainer-consultants, psychologists, HR specialists and managers for 9 weeks - 90 hours. Â

Team-building for Every ChildPartners-Georgia's trainers Irakly Vetsko and Natia Gophodze facilitated team building program for the personnel of Every Child. Program was specifically designed for this event and included various activities aimed at building effective team and improving its performance. Trainings in frames of the CIP-2Starting from February 2008, Partners-Georgia has renewed its activities within the second year of the Community Investment Program (CIP-2) funded by BP and implemented by CARE international in Georgia and its partners. Series of trainings has been launched with Conflict Management and Analysis training sessions to be delivered to target CBOs both in West and East parts of the program on February 13-15Â (in Akhaltsikhe) and February 27-29 (in Marneuli) respectively.

Partners-Georgia launches the third round of the BP-funded SGS programIn February-May, 2008, Partners-Georgia and British Petroleum will continue trainings for board of trustees, directors and teachers in public schools located along the Western Route Export Pipeline (Baku-Supsa). This time, training will be held for schools in Khashuri and Kareli regions.

New publication by Partners-GeorgiaPartners-Georgia translated and published the Georgian version of the book “Corrupt Cities - A Practical Guide to Cure and Prevent Corruption" by Robert Klitgaard, Ronald Maclean Abaroa and Lindsey Parris. The book, which is sharing the practical and thus very useful experience on how to diagnose corruption in municipalities, and how to involve citizens in the process of cure - will be an invaluable help for all organizations and individual experts working in this sphere. Publication has become possible in frames of the LGI Small Grants program supported by OSI and implemented by Partners Romania Foundation.Â

Capacity building for ethnic minority organizationsTraining for representatives of ethnic minorities started today in frames of the USAID funded National Integration and Tolerance Program. 15 representatives of minority organizations and initiative groups, working in cooperation with the Tolerance center at the Ombudsmen office will be trained in leadership, advocacy and diversity management skills.

Training series for NRC partner NGOsPartners-Georgia started delivering trainings for the partner NGOs from Tbilisi and Batumi, of the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC). All together 30 participants will be trained in fundraising, proposal writing, NGO marketing and PR, leadership and team building. Partners-Georgia provides services under NRC funding since 2005.

Partners-Georgia won the tender for the trainings of NAPRPartners-Georgia will deliver trainings for the front officers of the Tbilisi Registration Offices of the National Agency of Public Registry (NAPR). Trainings will aim at the improvement of the quality of services at the Public Registry offices. Project is supported by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA).

Trainers' Workshop in MacedoniaPartners-Georgia trainer Lika Jafarli will take part in the "CURING AND PREVENTING CORRUPTION IN LOCAL GOVERNMENTS" trainers' workshop, which will take place on October 16-21 in Ohrid, Macedonia. Workshop aims to build common understanding on the main concepts that lay behind the practical, strategic approach to cure and prevent corruption in local governments, proposed by the book “Corrupt Cities" and the manual “Restore the Health of Your Organizations" . Trainers will clarify their role in supporting and implementing interventions in local government organizations as well as elaborate and share Action Plans for 2007-2008 in order to disseminate and apply the anticorruption approach in each of the countries. Workshop is organized by Partners-Romania Foundation.

Partners-Georgia launches the second round of the BP-funded SGS programPartners-Georgia has been contracted by the British Petroleum to continue the series of training seminars for boards of trustees, directors and teachers in public schools located along the Western Route Export Pipeline (Baku - Supsa). In the period between September and December 2007 altogether 4 trainings in Proposal writing and 15 trainings in Leadership and Conflict management will be delivered to 15 public schools in Kaspi and Gori regions of Georgia.
